My name is Idan Brull. Born '82, Jerusalem, Israel.

I am a BFA graduate in Photography (2010) from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem.

After moving to The Netherlands in 2012 I continued my studies at various institutions such as:

Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam,

AKV St. Joost Academy in Breda and Leiden University.

I also worked as a photographer for various organisations:

"Yad Ben Zvi" Institute and The Israel Museum in Jerusalem.

GDY Housing and Mediamatic Foundation in Amsterdam.

Since 2019 I am living in Utrecht and operating a small home photo studio.

I use digital as well as analog cameras, but personally prefer using film cameras as my main photographic tool- for the feel, experience, its material uniqueness (unpredictable at times) and for its archival aspect.

Camera equipment I currently own/use:

-Nikon Z5 full-frame mirrorless digital camera with 85mm Nikkor Z f/1.8 lens.

-Mamiya 6 medium format rangefinder camera with 75mm Mamiya f/3.5 lens.

-Mamiya C330 TLR medium format camera with 80mm Mamiya Sekor f/2.8 lens.

-Leica M3 rangefinder camera with 40mm Summicron f/2 lens.
